To maximize coral growth, Coral Pro, combined with our Reef Care Recipes, can boost growth up to four times the natural rate. Its 12 dKH alkalinity is ideal for mixed reefs and SPS frag tanks, while its high dissolvability means it mixes from bucket to tank in about 20 minutes.

Natural seawater contains over 70 elements, but only a few determine its chemical stability. Three of these – Calcium, Magnesium, and Bicarbonates – are the foundation elements that govern pH, alkalinity, and ionic strength, while supporting essential coral processes such as skeleton formation, ion exchange, and photosynthesis.

Unlike the ocean’s vast reservoir, an aquarium’s supply is limited and quickly depleted, so sustained coral growth requires maintaining these elements above natural seawater levels.

This is mainly because aquariums lack the vast replenishing resources of the ocean, thereby requiring an elemental boost on our end.

Furthermore, our research has shown that only a very specific ratio between the foundation elements will provide sustained growth and a healthy aragonitic coral skeleton. We, therefore, formulate both our salts in accordance to these ratios, with balanced and elevated levels of the foundation elements.
